• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program required.
• Endoscopy Technician certification is required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Completed training as a surgical technologist and/or endoscopy technologist.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an inpatient endoscopy technician within the last year.
• Knowledge of universal precautions, aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, maintaining a sterile field, and procedural supplies and equipment.
• Experience assisting physicians during common endoscopy cases such as bronchoscopy, EGD, ERCP, feeding tube placement, and colonoscopy.
• Experience cleaning/reprocessing and maintenance of endoscopy scopes is a plus!
• Must be a resourceful and adaptable individual who takes direction well, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborates with surgical staff, and is comfortable asking clarifying questions.
